I had the opportunity to study Psychology at GCSE level, and I was fascinated by how our minds work and what our minds are capable of. I continued studying Psychology at A-level and at University where I graduated with a 2:1 degree. I knew I wanted to work with mental health and with people struggling. What drove me was, when I was younger, I struggled with my own mental health, and support and awareness wasn't there.
After finishing university, I got my first job working in care. I supported people with mental health issues, learning disabilities, and I worked alongside the Psychologist to help create behaviour support plans for our residents.
I also volunteered with Self-Injury Support for Women based in Bristol, where I provided non-judgmental telephone support for callers engaging in self-harm behaviours. There, I learnt the basics of counselling, but this is what ignited my passion to move forward with my counselling training.

I went through many life changes and challenges, but finally in 2020, I began my counselling training in Plymouth. I still went though a lot of challenges, but my counselling training and accessing my own personal therapy, I developed my self-awareness and resilience, and I qualified as a Therapeutic Counsellor in 2025.
During my training, I had placements with Devon Mind working remotely with their clients and also with Developing Health and Independence (DHI) in Bristol working face-to-face with their clients. I have stayed on with Devon Mind as a Bank Counsellor.

I know that reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step. You might have been thinking about it for awhile, unsure where to start or whether talking to someone can really help.

You might find yourself overthinking conversations, worrying about how you come across or feeling emotionally drained without fully understanding why. You might also be engaging in behaviours that feel too difficult to share with the people around you.
These experiences can feel isolating, but they are more common than you think. They can be gently explored and understood.
My aim is to offer a space where you can feel at ease, heard and accepted just as you are.
I'm a qualified counsellor, and I work in a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental way.
I believe that we all carry experiences that shape how we think, feel, and relate to others. Sometimes, those patterns can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of ourselves.
In our work together, we'll move at your pace. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to explain things perfectly.
I will listen carefully and support you in making sense of what's going on for you, helping you to build a clearer understanding of yourself and a more compassionate relationship with who you are.
I'm particularly interested in supporting people who engage in self-injurious behaviours, who feel stuck in their thoughts, or unsure of themselves in relationships or social situations.
Together, we can begin to untangle these feelings in a way that feels safe and manageable for you.
Alongside my counselling work, I value the importance of slowing down and finding small moments of calm in everyday life.
I bring this gentle, grounded approach into the way I work with clients.
If you're considering counselling, and you are aged 18+, you're very welcome to get in touch.
I offer a free 20 minute call so you can ask questions and get a sense of whether I feel like the right fit for you.
